BUYER GUIDE / PIPE FITTINGS
Material and Process Are Different Questions
A material designation alone does not fully define how a pipe fitting should be sourced, formed, heat treated, inspected or documented.
Start with the fitting geometry
Identify elbow angle and radius, tee configuration, or reducer form, together with outside diameter and wall thickness.
Confirm the material requirement
Provide the material designation and the exact standard edition or project specification used to interpret it.
Describe the manufacturing route
If the project controls forming route, heat treatment, end preparation or surface condition, list those requirements separately.
Define verification
State which dimensions, tests, certificates, markings and traceability records must be included in the quotation scope.
